ITINERARY
Day 1 SINGAPORE – TAOYUAN – HSINCHU

Meals On Board
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your fl ight to Taipei. Upon arrival, head to Hsinchu where you will be greeted with a delectable array of quintessential Taiwanese snacks at Cheng Huang Miao Night Market. Then, spend the night at the largest child-friendly local 5-star hotel near Ching-Tsao Lake, Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu. Retreat from the frenzied pace of city life and enjoy the hotel’s 5,500 square metres Health Club equipped with various therapeutic spa pools, children’s playground, swimming pools and more.

Please bring along your swimwear and swim cap for indoor spa and heated swimming pools.

Day 2 HSINCHU – NANTOU
Breakfast/Lunch/Xitou Cuisines Dinner
This morning, enjoy seasonal fruit picking and tasting at a local fruit farm. There is nothing quite like going straight to the source for the freshest and sweetest bounty of nature. Next, continue on to Xitou Forest Nature Education Area to see the iconic and picturesque University Pond. The majestic mountains,
tranquil bamboo forests and chirping birds are a perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. Thereafter, head to Monster Village and get acquainted with local forest spirits and Japanese monsters. This quirky village boasts cute monster statues, monster-themed houses, and performances adapted from Japanese folklore, and even a famous bakery as a tribute to how the village came about.

Day 3 NANTOU – KAOHSIUNG
Breakfast/Aboriginal Cuisines Lunch
After breakfast, visit Taiwan’s largest lake and popular scenic spot, Sun Moon Lake. Soak up the lyrical beauty of the surroundings as you take a leisure cruise in the lake’s crystal clear waters amidst towering mountains and verdant vegetation. The lake is also home to the aboriginal Thao tribe so you will get to sample aboriginal cuisine for lunch. Then, visit a lingzhi specialty centre before heading to Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second largest city. Proceed to Kaohsiung’s latest attraction, Taroko Park, the first integrated shopping, entertainment and sports-themed amusement park in Taiwan and Suzuka Circuit Park, the only authorised Suzuka Circuit Park race track outside Japan. Enjoy a complimentary Ferris wheel ride and enjoy the other amusement rides including a mini Suzuka circuit, drift racer and freestyle drive at your own expense. The mall also offers other sporting activities like mini golf and baseball as well as a multitude of shopping and dining options. In the evening, explore Rui Feng Night Market to savour Taiwanese snacks and shop for local souvenirs, fashion and arts and crafts.

Sun Moon Lake leisure cruise is subject to weather conditions.
If Rui Feng Night Market is not available, it will be replaced by Liuhe Night Market.
 
Day 4 KAOHSIUNG
Breakfast
Today, enjoy your free day in Kaohsiung. After breakfast, use your complimentary I-Pass to explore various attractions in Kaohsiung such as Pier-2 Art District, Shihzuwan and Hongmaogang Cultural Park. Alternatively, you can indulge in some retail therapy at Xin Jue Jiang Commercial District and San Duo Commercial District. For those who prefer a guided tour, you may choose to join a local tour at your own expense.
Note
Each traveller will be given a complimentary I-Pass with a stored value of NTD100. This pass may be used for public transit on Kaohsiung Metro, Tapei Metro and city buses.
  
Day 5 KAOHSIUNG – CHIAYI - TAICHUNG
Breakfast/Lunch/ Banana New Paradise Humanity Teahouse and Café Nostalgic Cuisines Dinner
This morning, visit the Pearl Culture Centre before making your way to Chiayi, a historic and charming city steeped in culture and the arts. Visit Hinoki Village and explore the richness of Taiwan’s history within the walls of this cultural forest park that houses 28 Japanese woodstructured architecture. Careful renovation and conservation had been incorporated into the planning of this village where you get to visit Japanese-style dormitories and offi ces that are centuries old. While there, enjoy a yukata dress-up session in the village to travel back in time. Continue on to Taichung to explore the popular Fengjia Night Market, a sprawling mosaic of food stalls offering one of Taiwan’s largest array of local eats, from traditional snacks to innovative munchies.
 
Day 6 TAICHUNG - TAIPEI
Breakfast/Taiwanese Specialty Cuisines Lunch
After breakfast, return to Taipei to visit a Pixiu lucky charm centre followed by Lin An Tai Old Homestead. With over 200 years of history, this well-preserved homestead is among the oldest of Taipei’s remaining homesteads and has a distinctive traditional architectural style refl ective of the evolution of Taipei’s culture and history. Then, visit a traditional tea art centre to learn more about this very important part of Taiwanese culture, tea drinking. Shopaholics will rejoice next at the next destination – Wufenpu Garment Wholesale Area – where you can easily overhaul your entire wardrobe after navigating the intricate network of lanes and alleys showcasing the latest fashion. Tonight, scour for a variety of local snacks like herbal pork ribs, pepper buns, beef noodles and more at Raohe Street Night Market.
 
Day 7 TAIPEI
Breakfast
Today,  you   can  set  your  own morning  call  to  wake  you  up  at your preferred time. After breakfast, you can choose to use I-Pass to explore  the  various  attractions  in Taipei like the Maokong Gondola, National Palace Museum, Nantou Hot   Spring, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and Tamshui. Alternatively, you can visit Ximending,  East  District,  Taipei 01 and Shida Commercial Area to enjoy shopping fun. If you prefer a guided tour, you may choose to join a local tour at your own expense.

Day 8 TAIPEI - SINGAPORE
Breakfast/Meals on Board
If  time  permits,  you  can  spend time at leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
