Itinerary
Day 1 SINGAPORE – OSAKA/NAGOYA

Meals On Board/Lunch
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Osaka/Nagoya. Your visit to the region of Kansai will kick off on a regal note with a visit to the majestic Osaka Castle, arguably one of the most, if not the most famous sight in the city. Surrounded by a vast verdant park, this imposing historical relic affords a vast panoramic view of the city. This afternoon, visit Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, Osaka’s oldest and busiest shopping destination and take your pick from a selection of popular brands, chain stores, and independent boutiques. Thereafter, proceed to your hotel where a good night’s rest is essential, for another day of thrills and spills await.
Note: Visits to Osaka Castle, Shinsaibashi Shopping Street and lunch are not included for travellers flying by Japan Airlines or All Nippon Airways and there will be no replacement.
 
Day 2 OSAKA
Breakfast
There is nothing like a visit to a world-class theme park to bring out the inner child in you. This morning, prep yourself for a big day out at Universal Studios Japan, a 140-acre theme park with that offers 25 specially-designed rides and performances. Get reacquainted with your childhood heroes at Universal Wonderland, a town with 3 iconic sections, namely Hello Kitty Fashion Avenue, Sesame Street™ Fun World and Snoopy Studios™. Enjoy The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, which brings to life the magical world of Hogwarts and other sights from the beloved book and film series. The park’s newest attraction is Minion Park, immerse yourself in the mayhem of the Minions with thrilling ride and more.
 
Day 3 OSAKA – KYOTO – FUKUI
Breakfast/Izakaya Lunch/6-course Kaiseki with Shabu Shabu Hot Pot Dinner
Today, hop on board a speedy bullet train ride and zip through to Kyoto, city of geishas,  Zen gardens and temples, which charms with its understated elegance and refinement. Make a stop at one of the city’s cultural legacies, Kiyomizu-dera Temple. This distinctive Kyoto landmark features a wooden veranda that hangs over the valley, providing a panoramic view of the city as you take in more than  a thousand years of history. From Kyoto, make a stop at Tojinbo and marvel at the dramatic and rugged beauty of pillar-shaped cliffs shaped by seawater erosion over millions of years. Thereafter, proceed to Fukui,  a famous hot spring region and spend the night at an onsen resort. Tonight, experience the gastronomic splendour of Japanese cuisine with a delicious 6-course Kaiseki with shabu shabu hot pot dinner.

Day 4 FUKUI – NOTO PENINSULA –WAJIMA – HIMI
Breakfast/Lunch/6-course Kaiseki Dinner with Dancing Abalone
After breakfast, enjoy a glorious morning drive along the Noto Peninsula to Wajima to take in the exquisite and untouched beauty of Japan’s northern coast. En route, make a stop at the famous Wajima Morning Market selling a dazzling array of local produce, fresh seafood and handicrafts. Make your way to the Wajima Lacquerware Center afterwards for a selection of the city’s best and signature handicraft – lacquerware. Next, bask in the sun, sand and sea as you drive on the renowned Chirihama Beach Driveway alongside the azure Sea of Japan and infinite beauty of the horizon beyond. As you head to Himi, stop by Himi Banya-gai for a taste of the freshest catch of the day and other local specialities. Upon arrival in Himi, don a traditional yukata as you savour a sumptuous 6-course kaiseki dinner with Dancing Abalone; the “dancing abalone” involves the chef preparing the abalone while in its shell. Wrap up the day with a therapeutic bath in a ryokan-style resort overlooking the northern coastline of Japan  

Day 5 HIMI – NIIGATA – NAGANO – KUSATSU/KARUIZAWA
Breakfast/Lunch/Buffet Dinner
As you travel towards Karuizawa this morning, make a rest stop at the Oyashirazu Pier Park station to enjoy the calm sea breeze and delightful views of the gorgeous coastline and pretty pebbled beach. Then, explore Obuse Town in Nagano on foot to experience first-hand the rich artistic and cultural heritage of this charming town. While traipsing along the quaint walkways filled with art museums, galleries, sake breweries and craft shops, be sure to try the town’s best known local produce – chestnuts – and array of chestnut products like chestnut rice, ice cream and jelly. Next, head to Kusatsu onsen town where you will get to try the onsen specialty snack, Onsen Manju, a soft bun filled with red bean paste. Enjoy a Yumomi performance in Yubatake and witness the traditional pre-bathing ritual where the hot spring water is cooled down to bath temperature while local folk songs and dance are performed. This evening, indulge in a well-earned hot spring bath of your own at an onsen resort in premier resort town Karuizawa where scenic views and leisure activities abound.

Day 6 KUSATSU/KARUIZAWA – TOKYO
Breakfast
Start the day by visiting one of Japan’s 100 Greatest Waterfalls, the Shiraito Falls. Amidst the lush vegetation, this 70-metre wide water curtain flows off the cliff in thin white streams, giving rise to its name which literally means “the waterfall of white threads”. Then, take a leisurely stroll down the town’s main shopping strip, Karuizawa Ginza shopping street, and soak up the laidback and romantic atmosphere as you pick up souvenirs and try local desserts. Head over to Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza thereafter; this is where the real shopping begins! With over 200 popular brands and speciality stores selling anything from the latest trends to outdoor wear, household and luxury goods, it’s time to summon the inner shopaholic in you and relax those purse strings. Then, rest your tired legs and relax on a leisurely drive to sleek and urban Tokyo

Day 7 TOKYO
Breakfast
After breakfast, spend the day at leisure. From Shibuya’s towering skyscrapers and glittering entertainment to Harajuku’s vibrant youth subcultures and Ginza’s posh stores, you will be spoilt for choice when exploring this dynamic city. Alternatively, you can head to Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea at your own expense.
Note It is recommended to purchase Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea tickets upon booking of your tour. Tickets cost $90 per adult and $60 per child. Any amendment made after confirmation will be subjected to full park charges.  

Day 8 TOKYO – SINGAPORE

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
