ITINERARY
Day 1 HOME → AMMAN (JORDAN) (Meals on Board)

Assemble at the airport for your flight to Amman, the capital of Jordan. Amman is a fascinating city of contrasts – a unique blend of old and new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley.

Day 2 AMMAN → JERASH → AMMAN (Lunch, Dinner)
Upon your arrival, you will travel north of Amman to the best-preserved example of Roman civilization in Jordan, the city of Jerash. Jerash, which is part of the Decapolis (the ten large Roman cities of the East) has been called the Pompeii of the East for its unique state of preservation. The city features theaters, churches, temples of Zeus and Artemis, a Nymphaeum and colonnaded streets. Later, return to Amman for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3 AMMAN → MADABA → MT NEBO → PETRA (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Embark on a city tour of Amman. Often referred to as the “White City” due to the white stone used to build most the houses, Amman is among the oldest continually inhabited cities on Earth. Make your way to the Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace, Byzantine Church, Jordan Archaeological Museum, Roman Theatre and the city’s modern district. You will then visit the mosaic city of Madaba, where an ancient map of the Holy Land can be seen on the floor of the Saint George’s Church and Mount Nebo, the reputed burial site of Moses, overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Wrap up your day with a drive to Petra.

Day 4 PETRA → AMMAN (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today, you will spend the day sightseeing Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Hidden in obscurity for centuries, it is located in the biblical land of Moab. Enjoy a horseback ride through the Siq, a narrow gorge made famous in the movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Stand in awe in front of the iconic and famed Treasury. You’ll see spectacular temples and tombs carved out of rose-colored sandstone. Transfer back to Amman for an overnight stay.

Day 5 AMMAN → ALLENBY BRIDGE (BORDER) → JERICHO (ISRAEL) → JERUSALEM (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, you will travel to Allenby Bridge and cross over to Israel. Meet the local guide at the Israeli side and then transfer to Jerusalem. En route to Jericho, known to be the oldest town in the world to view the Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore Tree. Continue to Qumran, the caves of the Essenes where Dead Sea Scrolls were found by a wandering shepherd boy. Check in to your hotel in Jerusalem and dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 6 JERUSALEM (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Begin the day with a trip to the Mount of Olives and then visit the Church of the Pater Noster. Afterwards, make your way to an observation point that overlooks the Old City of Jerusalem. Visiting Church of Dominus Flevit where it is believed that God wept over Jerusalem. Continue with a visit to the Basilica of Agony and the Garden of Gethsemane to see the Rock of Agony, the place where Jesus prayed before the Roman soldiers came for him. Afterwards, step in old city of Jerusalem. Visit the Church of St. Anne and Pool of Bethesda. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to trace the Stations of the Cross. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where Jesus was crucified, died and resurrected, the Western Wall and view the Temple Mount.

Day 7 JERUSALEM → BETHLEHEM → JERUSALEM (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start the day with a drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Christ. Then make way to Saint Catherine’s Church and Saint Jerome’s Cave where the bible was translated. Continue journey to Milk Grotto and end your day with a quick stop at Shepherd’s Field. Drive back to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8 JERUSALEM → HAIFA → TIBERIAS (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, you will travel to the beautiful city of Haifa, ascend Mt. Carmel to enjoy a panoramic view of the Bay, then visit the Stella Maris Monastery, built on a cave which is believed to be the place where Prophet Elijah lived. While here, make a visit at the beautiful Baha’i Gardens. Head south along the costal side to see Caesarea Maritima, an ancient city and harbor that was built by Herod the Great. Head to Tiberias for the dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9 TIBERIAS → SEA OF GALILEE → SHEIKH HUSSEIN (BORDER) → DEAD SEA (Breakfast, Dinner)
Your morning starts with a journey to the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Afterwards, make your way to Tabgha, where Christ’s miraculous multiplication of loaves and fish to feed the multitude took place. You will then visit the Church of the Primacy of Peter before embarking on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Drive to Capernaum, the town where Jesus resided in after leaving Nazareth. Transfer to Sheikh Hussein to cross the border to Jordan. Meet with your local guide before heading to the Dead Sea to watch the sunset. You will spend the night and have your dinner in a hotel.

Day 10 DEAD SEA → AMMAN AIRPORT → HOME (Breakfast, Lunch)
The Dead Sea is without a doubt the most amazing place you will ever see. Located on the lowest point on Earth, 400 m (1,312ft.) below sea level, it is one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the world. Spend the rest of your day at your leisure before transferring to Amman Airport for your flight back home.
