Day 1 Singapore – Paro - Thimphu

Meals On Board/Lunch/Dinner
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Paro. Upon arrival, proceed to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Visit Tashichho Dzong, which houses the throne of the King of Bhutan before your dinner and check in to your hotel.

Day 2 Thimphu - Punakha - Thimphu
This morning, proceed to Punakha. Cross Dochula pass and visit Druk Wangyal Chortens where the construction of 108 chortens was commissioned by the eldest Queen Mother. Along the way, view Sopsokha village before reaching Chimi Lhakhang, a pilgrimage site for childless couples. Thereafter, visit Punakha Dzong, situated at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers. Thereafter, you may like to attend a religious blessing service.

Day 3 Thimphu - Paro
After breakfast, head to Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, where you can catch a panoramic view of Thimphu Valley and marvel at the 169-foot tall bronze Buddha Dordenma Statue, the largest statue in the country. Then, make a stop at the local post office where you can get your personalised stamps. Next, proceed to visit National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built to honour the late 3rd king. After lunch, visit to a weaving centre that produces hand-woven textiles and watch weavers at work. Thereafter, drive to Paro and visit Rinpung Dzong, built in 1644 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders. Learn from local, the making of the famous Local Dish, Ema datshi or commonly known as chilli cheese.

Day 4 Paro
Breakfast/Lunch/Bhutanese Farewell Dinner
After breakfast, embark on a hike to Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, Taktsang Lhakhang, also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. It clings precariously to a granite cliff 900 metres above Paro Valley. The monastery was 1st built in 1692 at a cave where legend has it the great Guru Rimpoche flew to the site atop the back of a tigress and meditated in the cave in order to subdue evil demons residing within. Thereafter, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest monastery in Bhutan built in the 7th century and spend the rest of your day at leisure. You may wish to head to the main street of Paro to pick up some souvenirs at your own expense. Tonight, enjoy a Bhutanese farewell dinner and get to dress up in beautiful Gho and Kira for photo-taking.
Note Please wear comfortable walking shoes for your hike to Taktsang Lhakhang. The hike is not recommended for pregnant women and travellers with health conditions.

Day 5 Paro - Singapore

Early morning, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
