Travel south-east, the route will take you through many of Melbourne’s affluent suburbs. First stop is Maru Koala & Animal Park for close and personal encounter with Australia wildlife. Next, you will cross the only bridge that connects Philip Island to the mainland. As the sun sets, the wild Little Penguins emerge from sea after a hard days fishing and waddle across the sand to their dune burrows. These little penguins are the smallest of the penguin species in the world!

Sovereign Hill Gold Rush

You will step back in time to the era of the Victorian gold rush! First you will head out over the West Gate Bridge, en route to the beautiful town of Ballarat. Sit back and relax with entertainment introducing you to Sovereign Hill, a wonderful outdoor museum exhibiting in “real life” story of Australia’s gold rush history.

Start your day with Melbourne’s eastern suburbs! Visit Grants on Sherbrooke, you will be charmed by the surrounding mountain hue and crisp clear air, enjoy a traditional Devonshire Tea of homemade scones, served warm with jam and cream. Enjoy Puffing Billy Steam Train, this steam train is maintained in its original glory and runs to this day on its own mountain track. Here you will go back in time as you get on board a 30 minute ride through the heart of the forest. Next, visit Healesville Wildlife, home to Australian wildlife like wallabies, wombat, koalas, kangaroos and others.

Tour through the Yarra Valley and stop for lunch (own expense) at a local winery. Tantalize your taste buds at Dominique Portet Winery where you may sample and buy a selection of quality local wines. Enjoy a visit to another local winery to sample more Australian wines, then commence the return journey to Melbourne

Magnificent Melbourne - Morning City Tour

This morning’s tour is packed with city sights and historical landmarks with a stop at Fitzroy Gardens, Botanic Gardens, Shrine of Remembrance and Federation Square.
