Day SINGAPORE → DELHI
Check in at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to New Delhi.
Upon arrival, go on an enlightening journey through India’s glorious art, values and contributions for the progress, happiness and harmony of mankind at Swaminarayan Akshardham. Take a 12minute fascinating boat ride experiencing 10,000 years of India’s glorious heritage to learn about the discoveries and inventions of the rishi-scientists of India, see the world’s first university of Takshashila and sail through the caves of Ajanta Ellora and other attractions within the site.

Day DELHI → VARANASI
Catch a domestic flight to Varanasi, the most sacred place for all Hindus.
You may have to take a rickshaw ride to reach River Ganges where you will go on a boat to witness the evening Aarti.

Day VARANASI → SARNATH → BODHGAYA
Ruins in Sarnath
Rise early as you visit the River Ganges at sunrise to witness the procession of life as pilgrims and devotees perform their rituals amidst the ringing bells from the countless temples. Return to your hotel for breakfast. After which, continue to Sarnath visiting Ruins of Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon in the Deer Park. Beside is the Archaeological Museum. Continue to Bodhgaya, the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment.

Day BODHGAYA
Visit the Mahabodhi Temple, the focal point of Bodhgaya. It marks the spot where Lord Buddha gained enlightenment and set out on his life of preaching. It stands adjacent to a descendent of the original Bodhi tree under which Lord Buddha meditated on the excesses of life and formulated his philosophy of a balanced approach to it. Next is the Great Buddha Statue. Drive pass the various monasteries and temples. Most countries with a large Buddhist population have a temple or a monastery in Bodhgaya usually built in a representative architectural style. Thus, there is a Thai temple that looks very much like the colourful wats of Thailand. A Tibetan temple and monastery that contains a large prayer wheel. The Burmese who had led a campaign to restore the Mahabodhi Temple in the 19th century also built their monastery. There is a Japanese temple that has a very beautiful image of Buddha brought from Japan. Others include a Chinese, Sri Lanka, Bhutanese, Vietnamese, Nepalese, Korean, Taiwanese and Bangladeshi monasteries.

Day BODHGAYA → RAJGIR → NALANDA → PATNA
Drive 3 hours to Rajgir. Take a chair lift up the hill to the Japanese World Peace Stupa. Have a walk around Vulture Peak, the place where Lord Buddha mediated for couple of years. Next isNalanda, where the most renowned University in ancient India is. It is also one of the greatest centres of learning in the ancient times. Drive 3 hours to Patna for your stay.

Day PATNA → KUSHINAGAR
Drive to Kushinagar this morning visiting the Mahaparinirvana Temple. Located in the ruins which various ancient monasteries were found during the 5th century AD. The temple is famous for its 6.10m long statue of Lord Buddha. According to the inscriptions in the ruins, the remains of Lord Buddha have been deposited here. Continue to Ramabhar Stupa. The Stupa marks the place where Lord Buddha received the Mahaparinirvana or the Final Enlightenment. The 15m high stupa is also the most important pilgrim spot for the Buddhists.

Day KUSHINAGAR → LUMBINI 
Drive 4 hours to Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha crossing the border into Nepal. It was in Lumbini, where Queen Mahamaya gave birth to Prince Siddhartha who later became Lord Buddha. It is the place where the Mayadevi Temple and the Sacred Tank exist. And it is here where Prince Siddhartha was given his purification bath.

Day LUMBINI → KAPILAVASTU → SRAVASTI
Pay a visit to Lord Buddha’s hometown of Kapilavastu. According to Buddhist tradition, Kapilavastu is the name of the ancient city where Lord Buddha was raised and lived until the age of 29, when he renounced worldly life. Continue to Sravasti. According to legend, it is here at the Jetavana Gardens where Lord Buddha confounded his critics by making them witness a miraculous million-fold self-manifestation seated on a thousand petalled lotus, as fire and water emanated from his body. The prophet of peace is also said to have spent 25 rainy seasons here, teaching people the essence of his gentle creed.
