The main goal of this trip is to explore Lapland thoroughly and to experience the natural beauty of the Arctic, the Northern Lights, the ice and the snow! Let’s experience the fun of the Arctic outdoor adventures and taste the authentic Arctic cuisine!

DAY 1 Arrival to the Arctic Circle and Rovaniemi

Welcome to Rovaniemi, the Official Hometown of Santa Claus! Rovaniemi is an urban oasis amidst the Arctic wilderness, where culture, outdoor activities and fairytales come together!
Almost totally destroyed during World War II, Rovaniemi is a modern city known for being the “official” hometown of Santa Claus, and for viewing the Northern Lights today. It’s home to Arktikum, a museum and science centre exploring the Arctic region and the history of Finnish Lapland. The Science Centre Pilke features interactive exhibitions of northern forests! Our guides will pick you up at the airport or the train station and will take you to the Nordic Unique Travels Office to dress you in proper Winter Clothes (that will keep you warm at all times). After that, we will provide you with an Arctic Circle Traditional Campfire Dinner, and then we will take you on a special Northern Lights Hunting Tour!

DAY 2 Ranua Wildlife Park, Northern Lights

We will visit the Ranua Wildlife Park and hunt the Northern Lights with Snowmobile.
We will drive you to the Ranua Wildlife Park in the morning, where you will be able to observe arctic animals throughout the year.
The park animals include approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals. There is also a domestic animal park in the park during the summer. Ranua Wildlife Park is Lapland’s leading tourist attraction for families!
After a delicious lunch buffet, In the evening, we are going to race through the forest on Snowmobiles to hunt the Aurora Borealis. * A valid driver’s license is required to drive the snowmobiles.

DAY 3 Luosto Amethyst Ancient Mine, Northern Lights and Saariselkä

Visit the Luosto Amethyst Ancient Mines and hunt for Northern Lights in the resort village of Saariselkä.
We will start our journey from Rovaniemi to Luosto, where we will visit the Amethyst Ancient Mines and dig in the Amethyst!
The Amethyst mine, which is on top of the Lampivaara hill, is adjacent to the Luosto recreation centre, situated in the middle of Lapland’s beautiful landscape.
The sustainable Lampivaara Amethyst mine is possibly the only gemstone mine in the world that welcomes visitors. There is the fascinating world of gemstones in the mine on the top of the hill. You will hear about stories of millennia and dig out your own lucky amethyst that has been waiting for 2000 million years to be dug out!
Afterwards, we will head to Saariselkä, a resort village in northern Finland. It’s a gateway to the trails and ski areas of mountainous Urho Kekkonen National Park. There is the Destination Northernmost Europe Exhibition, which has a panoramic theatre with films about the region’s plants and animal lives, including reindeers. In the evening, we will climb the mountains to hunt for the Northern lights!

DAY 4 Trip to Inari, Sami Museum, Ice Fishing, Northern Lights

A special day in Inari, where we will visit the Sami Museum, have a campfire BBQ, do ice fishing, and hunt for the northern lights!
We will travel from Saariselkä to the Municipality of Inari, the largest municipality in Finland that charms the visitors and the locals with its unique nature and its diverse culture. Numerous lakes, thousands of islands, hundreds of fells, and a wide variety of flora and fauna provide unforgettable experiences for people who visit the region annually. In Inari, we will visit the Sami Museum, which features the spiritual and material culture of the Finnish Sámi and presents its collections to the public through its exhibitions and publications. Its main purpose is to support the identity and the cultural self-esteem of the Sámi people and their culture.
After visiting the museum, we will be heading to a forest for an adventure, where our guide will provide you with a traditional campfire fish lunch! We will also learn and try the Ice Fishing in the frozen lakes!
We will have the Northern Lights hunting tour at night!

DAY 5 Santa Claus Village, Arctic Circle, Husky Forest Sleigh, Reindeer Sleigh, 1 Night in an Arctic Glass Igloo

We will depart from Inari region and head to Rovaniemi.
We will visit the Santa Claus Village at 1 pm. You will have a private meeting with Santa Claus and visit the popular Santa’s Post office! You will join the Elves in their magic world, and you are able to send postcards from the Santa’s Post Office.
Moreover, the Arctic Circle cuts right through Santa Claus Village! A white line denoting the Arctic Circle (at its position in 1865) is painted across the park. You will officially enter the Arctic when you cross the line and you will also acquire the Arctic Circle Certificate!
After visiting the Santa Claus Village, it’s time to visit the Husky farm! Let’s experience the enthusiasm of running dogs and the exoticism of Lapland. You will meet the genuine Siberian Huskies, enjoy the environment and get thrilled with the speed of the sledge in the forest!
After the unforgettable experience with the Huskies, we will stop for a lunch break in the great outdoors and prepare you a delicious Lappish lunch in front of the snow campfire!
We will also visit the Reindeer farm, where you will meet the real reindeer herders, who will tell you about their lifestyle! You will be riding a reindeer sleigh to experience the traditional way of travelling in Lapland. Riding a reindeer sleigh makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. It helps you to purify your mind and release stress, and you will also receive a certificate!
You will be staying at the Arctic Igloo Hotel and enjoy the most unforgettable night of your lifetime! You’re able to view the whole sky from the glass igloos, which are located in the Arctic Circle, far enough from the city lights of the town of Rovaniemi in Lapland, Finland. Although there is no way to guarantee an aurora sighting since a clear sky, geomagnetic activity and a dash of luck are needed, the possibility for a great northern light show at the Arctic Glass Igloos is almost optimal!

DAY 6 Arktic Museum, Forest Tour, Bonfire Lunch, Ice Lake Floating

We will start the day with a visit to the Arctikum Museum. The Arktikum is a museum and science centre in Rovaniemi, Finland. Arktikum is an attraction, popular culture destination as well as a memorable venue for meetings and conferences. The most visible part of the museum, its glass corridor, is 172 metres long and is dissected by the 30-metre wide Kittilä highway. The tube serves as the “Gateway to the North”, as the entrance foyer is at the Southend and the guests head north when coming in. The exhibition space is underneath the ground, mimicking the way animals in the North avoid the cold by burrowing into warm places under the snow.
Afterwards, we will provide you with a Natural Primeval Forest Tour and a bonfire lunch, and you will have the opportunity to try the Ice Lake Floating with our professional team!
