Day 1: SINGAPORE → TAOYUAN → TAICHUNG (Meals On Board / Dinner)
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Taipei. Upon arrival, make your way to Taichung and check in to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 2 TAICHUNG → CHIAYI → ALISHAN (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner (Alishan Specialty Dinner))
This morning, explore Rainbow Military Dependents’ Village, which is given a new lease of life by Huang Yung-Fu, also known as Grandpa Rainbow, who had painted colourful graffiti on the alley walls and the dilapidated houses. The village has since become a famous subject of photography and is a popular venue for tourists to learn more about Taiwan’s unique military dependents’ villages, built in the late 1940s and 1950s. Next, continue towards Chiayi to Fenchihu old street and Fenchihu Railway Station, the largest station of the Alishan Forest Railways that served as the main transport hub for commuters to Alishan. Reminisce the past and imagine what it must have been like as you into the famous Fenchihu railway bento at your own expense. Then, make your way to Alishan National Scenic Area for a leisure stroll among the incredible heritage trees and the majestic peaks shrouded in clouds of mist. Do not miss attractions such as Sister Lakes, Shouzhen Temple and an ancient 1,000-year-old cypress tree.

Note: Visit to Alishan National Scenic Area is subject to weather conditions and government restrictions to the number of visitors due to safety and traffic conditions, and will be replaced with Monster Village and Xitou Nature Education Area if unavailable. Day 3 ALISHAN → KAOHSIUNG (Breakfast / Lunch)
This morning, rise early and be prepared for a visual treat. Hop on board the Alishan sunrise viewing train ride to Zhushan Station, Taiwan’s highest railway station where the sunrise viewing platform is located. Take a deep breath of fresh air and admire the beauty of nature as you marvel at the sunrise and the sea of clouds enveloping the mountain ranges. Thereafter, depart Alishan for Kaohsiung. Uponarrival, explore Pier-2 Art Center, a former warehouse transformed into a cultural and creative hotspot showcasing avant-garde and experimental works. Then, make a stop at Xizi Bay just in time to catch the spectacular sunset before going to Liuhe Tourist Night Market for a tantalising spread of local snacks.

Note:  Please prepare warm clothes for sunrise and sea of clouds viewing experience as weather temperature is expected to hover around 3 degrees celsius. Morning call will be around 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. local time. Alishan National Scenic Area sunrise and sea of cloud viewing experience is subject to weather conditions and based on official scheduled timetable.
Day 4 KAOHSIUNG → NANTOU → TAICHUNG (Breakfast / Lunch (Aboriginal Culture Cuisine Lunch))

Today, hop on a leisure cruise to take in the splendour of Sun Moon Lake, the largest body of water in Taiwan. Next, proceed to Gaomei Wetlands to see the diverse flora and fauna and the charming windmills in the background. Later that evening, your taste buds will be spoilt for choice at the largest night market in central Taiwan, Fengjia Night Market. Do not forget to check out the latest fashion trends and accessories at Feng Chia University near the market after that.

Day 5 TAICHUNG → HSINCHU → TAIPEI (Breakfast / Lunch (Neiwan Theater Lunch) / Dinner)

Travel to Miaoli this morning to participate in an indigo-dyeing workshop to learn about the dyeing process and create your very own Hakka design, which you can take home as a keepsake. Then, continue towards Hsinchu to Neiwan Old Street to discover remnants of the distinctive Hakka culture left behind by the predominant Hakka community that used to live there. Thereafter, enjoy a Hakka cuisine lunch at Neiwan Theater before returning to Taipei. Make a photo stop at the iconic Taipei 101. Thereafter, travel to the coastal districy of Jinshan and spend the night at a hot spring hotel with personal hot spring facility in room.

Day 6 TAIPEI (Breakfast / Dinner (Takao 1972 Mini Hotpot Dinner))

After breakfast, indulge in old-world charm starting at Jiufen, a quaint village with traditional teahouses and speciality shops offering famous local snacks and crafts. Next, head to Jingtong railway station, where you can experience the simple joy of lighting and releasing heavenly lanterns with your fellow travellers. Following that, immerse yourself inthe buzzing youthful energy of Ximending, Taipei’s famed shopping area and epicentre of youth culture.

Note: Public transfer to Jiufen will be used should visitation fall on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays or during major events in Taiwan. Every 4 travellers will share 1 heavenly lantern.
Day 7 TAIPEI → TAOYUAN → SINGAPORE (Meals On Board / Breakfast)
If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
