Highlights

Day 1
Welcome to a unique experience! Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to the financial capital of Italy, Milan.

Day 2

  • Drive to Genoa, the capital of Liguria and the birthplace of Christopher Columbus.
  • Genoa guided tour: Discover the historical center of Genoa filled with splendid architectural treasures.   Visit Stade Nuove where the magnificent Palazzi dei Rolli, a series of noble abodes in Renaissance and Baroque styles stands.  Walk through narrow alleys known locally as Caruggi to discover its many curiosities and secrets.  See the Old Port, Doge palace and the Opera House.
Day 3
  • Proceed to San Remo, where members of the Romanov family and other royalties spent their holidays and famous for its annual San Remo Music Festival.
  • Enroute, enjoy shopping at luxury designer outlet - The Mall.
  • San Remo walking tour: Take a stroll in La Pigna, the oldest part of the city.  Tiny streets and covered alleyways wind up the hill to the gardens and sanctuary at the top.  A beautiful cobblestone mosaic dating from 1651 leads the way to the Madonna della Costa Sanctuary.  Enjoy magnificent views over the luch gardens of old San Remo and the city underneath.
Day 4
  • Start the morning with a visit to San Remo’s famous market
  • Leave for Dolceacqua, a small town very close to the French border.  Make a photo stop at the iconic bridge which connects the old hamlet to the newer part of the town.  Claude Monet was so enchanted with the hamlet that he painted four masterpieces of Dolceacqua!
  • Drive towards Nice, the ‘Queen of the Riviera’.  Drive down the Promenade des Anglais, passing the Place Massena with its fountain to the Old Town.
Day 5
  • Travel to the old town of Grasse, the historical center of French perfumery since the end of the 18th century.  Visit a perfumery to learn what it takes to create the magical potions.
  • Drive to Avignon, the belle of Provence.
  • Avignon orientation tour: View the superbly preserved stone ramparts, the massive medieval fortress of the Papal Palace and the famous ‘broken’ bridge, Pont Saint Benezet.
Day 6
  • Drive to Gordes, considered one of the most beautiful villages of France.  Stroll around the tiny streets which climb up between tall houses to discover beautiful old doorways & arcades.  Admire the panorama of the valley and mountains of Luberon.
  • Not to be missed is the 12th century Abbey of Senanque where Cistercian monks live producing honey, lavender essence and liqueurs.  The Abbey is a magnificent site for photographs during lavender season between June and July.
  • Situated in the heart of one of the world’s biggest ochre deposits is Rousillon.  The red, yellow and brown shades of the earth form a striking contrast with the lush green pine trees.  Stroll around the picturesque maze of streets and squares at leisure.
Day 7
  • Journey to Arles, the capital of Provence and where Vincent Van Gogh spent his most productive years.
  • Arles walking tour:  Highlights of the city including the Roman Amphitheatre.  Still used today, it dates back to the 1st century and was constructed to hold more than twenty thousand spectators.
Day 8
  • Continue our journey past the Alaric’s Mountain to Europe’s largest and most complete fortress, Carcassonne for a guided walking tour.
  • Cross the border into Spain and the city of Barcelona.
Day 9
  • Barcelona guided tour: Our tour features the art nouveau fantasies of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia (entrance included), the Casa Mila & Casa Batllo.  Stroll down bustling La Rambla with its open-air flowers and pets market and arrived at the Columbus Monument.  Travel up to Monjuich Hill, the site of the 1992 Olympics for a spectacular view of the city.  View the Cathedral in the Barrio Gothic and admire the well-preserved city walls which have surrounded the old city for over 2000 years.
Day 10
  • Enjoy the day at leisure.
Day 11

Bid farewell to Europe as we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.
