Trip to Tokyo, Osaka, Hakone, and Mount Fuji
Be immersed in the spring colours of white and pink as you take on your cherry blossom tour of the snow-covered cities of central Japan. Add some stone grey to pale pastels as you take in the sights of the Tokyo Imperial Palace, which sits within the park-like area of Chiyoda. Currently the modern seat of the country’s political power, the locale’s must-see sights include the double iron bridges that replaced the traditional wooden moat bridges called the nijŇębashi.
Then, take a proverbial time-travelling trip to the modern Land of the Rising Sun as you begin the evening’s exploration of the infamous Ginza district. Whispered to be worth over 10mil yen per square metre, Japan’s probable answer to New York’s Times Square is made up of streets that are lined with boutique stores, Michelin-starred restaurants, and a Kabuki-za theatre for your night’s closing entertainment.
Proceed to a higher altitude as you take the connecting bus and train ride to one of Mt. Fuji’s five lakes of Lake Kawaguchiko. Framing a panorama of the memorable peaks at its eastern end, the second largest of all her pond sisters is also the host of your hot spring getaway, where the waters run clear due to the porous layers of lava that filters the melted mountainous snow.
