ITINERARY

DAY 1 SINGAPORE - TAOYUAN

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport and begin your holiday with a pleasant flight to Taiwan. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our friendly local guide. Thereafter, transfer to the hotel for check-in.

DAY 2 TAOYUAN - TAICHUNG

After breakfast, visit Beipu Old Street, a good place for a taste of Hakkanese cuisine, from ground tea to persimmon cakes. The street has stayed true to its down-to-earth spirit, with not a single large chain store to be seen. Later, we will visit Gao Mei Wetland which covers a vast expanse of 1500 hectares with an amazing rich biodiversity to explore. Thereafter, visit Shen Ji New Village. Renovated from old residential housing, Shenji New Village in Taichung is now a vibrant creative and cultural hub where many different art studios gather and organic markets take place from time to time. This evening, get set for a gastronomic experience at Feng Jia Night Market, savouring and slurping various local street snacks.

DAY 3 TAICHUNG – CHIAYI – KAOHSIUNG

After breakfast, visit Hinoki Village. It consists of a number of Japanese influenced huts which were apparently dormitories for the forestry division workers during Japanese rule. This is where you can find the best souvenirs to bring home. Next, proceed to Tainan Zengwen Reservoir Yacht Tour, where you will take a yacht trip to the largest reservoir in Taiwan to appreciate marvelous mountain and river views. Say "hi" to the cuddly boars on Wild Boar Island and observe their quirky moves; Catch sight of giant eagles hovering in the air searching for their prey (depending on the water level). When evening comes, we will visit Liu He Night Market.

DAY 4 KOAHSIUNG – XIAO LIU QIU

After breakfast, we will take a 30 minute ferry ride to the little island paradise in Taiwan – Xiao Liu Qiu. Get away from the mainland and spend two days here. It is the only coral island and a favored destination for seeing beautiful geology and colorful marine life. Explore the island from a tranquil site with many beautiful landscapes, a great option for those seeking to escape from the hectic city life. The best spot has to be the iconic Vase Rock. This spot is located near the downtown area and ferry dock. There are strange and fantastic stone formations all over the island and the ocean views are spectacular. Beauty Cave, Black Ghost Cave and Wild Boar Ditch are best known as strange rock areas, which are the results of coral sculpted by wave action. We will bring you to explore the tidal zone. Here you can easily observe a wealth of tidal life. It's worth making a trip. And we will arrange the night tour – to explore the night scenery of Xiao Liu Qiu.Tonight, stay at Xiao Liu Qiu for your home stay experience.Note:1) Please bring along your overnight bag for Xiu Liu Qiu stay due to the ferry ride. 2) The condition of the coach may not be good due to outlying island. 3) Xiao Liu Qiu Island is subjected to weather conditions. If the tour is not available, the itinerary will be replaced by Kenting, and stay at Kenting.

DAY 5 XIAO LIU QIU – KAOHSIUNG – CHIAYI

After breakfast, enjoy the view of the underwater world by taking the Glass Bottom Boat.Thereafter, depart for Kaohsiung and visit Hongmaogang Cultural Park. The 3.42-hectare park includes a tower restaurant, a museum, an outdoor display zone, a skywalk, a pier and waiting room, and viewing platforms. Through the following themes, the park demonstrates the history of Hongmaogang: "legendary treasures," "the beautiful lagoon," "shrimp farming," "raft and trawl-net fishing," "traditional civil residences," and "religions and beliefs." Next, visit the Pearl breeding Centre. Tonight, we will visit the Chiayi Night Market, where famous Chiayi snacks and delicacies can be sampled.

DAY 6 CHIAYI – TAICHUNG

After breakfast, we will go to Alishan National Scenic Area. Enjoy a leisurely ride on the train here. (From Alisan Station to Zhao Pin Station). Beloved by both locals and tourists alike, Alishan National Scenic Area is one of Taiwan’s most famous and visited nature reserves. Visit attractions such as Sister Lakes, Tree Spirit Pagoda and Shouzhen Temple. Tonight, we will go to one of the famous night markets in Taichung - Yizhong Street.

DAY 7 TAICHUNG – TAIPEI

After breakfast, visit the Vigor Kobo Pineapple Cake Museum Tour with DIY Pineapple Cake Making. Thereafter, visit Tian Lu Art Centre to learn about the art of geomantic. Next, head over to Dadaocheng, which has scores of shops selling a variety of traditional goods such as Chinese medicines and herbs, colorful bolts of cloth, bamboo and wooden crafts. You can rent a Traditional Chinese Qipao Dress here at your own expense. Tonight we will go to the Ning Xia Night Market, which is a nostalgic Taiwanese night market.

DAY 8 TAIPEI – TAOYUAN AIRPORT - SINGAPORE

If time permits in the morning, enjoy last-minute shopping. Then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Singapore. We hope that you will have a memorable vacation with ASA Holidays.
