Today, embark on a city tour to view significant landmarks from Ringstrasse to Opera House, Hofburg, Parliament

Building, Town Hall and Burgtheater. The Burgtheater was largely destroyed in a bombing raid in 1945 and 1

month later, on April 12, 1945, it was further damaged by a fire of unknown origin. Thereafter, head to a major

Viennese attraction, Schonbrunn Palace. Schonbrunn Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Austria's most

visited attraction. This Baroque synthesis of different arts, consisting of a palace and gardens, has been in the

possession of the Habsburgs for centuries, and has been restored to its original condition.

Highlights: Basilica St Michael, Mirabell Palace, Residence Square, Mozart Square, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s

Birthplace

This morning, head to Mondsee. The town is home to the historic medieval Basilica St Michael, commonly known

as Mondsee Abbey. This church reached international fame because the spectacular wedding scene in the “Sound of

Music” was filmed inside. Continue to Salzburg, the hometown of Mozart. Enjoy the expansive view of the

breathtaking countryside, where the well-loved musical, “The Sound of Music”, was based on. Discover this

delightful musical city at your leisure and rejoice in sights like Mirabell Palace, Residence Square, Mozart Square

and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birthplace at No.9 Getridegasse Street.

brief stop at town centre of charming Vaduz, capital city of Liechtenstein, which is one of the world’s richest

countries. Then, move on to Switzerland arriving at the composed township of Lucerne. Tonight, savour a Swiss

combo fondue dinner of cheese, meat and chocolate.

DAY 5: LUCERNE

more, there’s (almost) something for everyone. You may also choose to take an optional excursion to the top of Mt

Titlis at your own expense.

DAY 6: LUCERNE - BERN - INTERLAKEN

Highlights: Clock Tower, Bern Bear Park

Begin your trip with a scenic drive to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Upon arrival, proceed to Bahnhofplatz and

commence your tour of the city. The best way to explore this compact historical precinct is on foot; so embark on a

walking tour and take in its genteel streetscape of Renaissance-style fountains and cobblestone laneways. Keep

your eyes peeled for the 16th-century astronomical Clock Tower with its ornate decorations. A short walk away, you

will find house No. 49, once Albert Einstein’s home where he had written the groundbreaking “Theory of Relativity”

in 1905. Not to be missed is a visit to the iconic Bern Bear Park, dedicated to the bear which is the protagonist of

Bern’s coat of arms. Thereafter, make your journey to Interlaken, an integral and breathtaking attraction of the
