ITINERARY

DAY 1: SINGAPORE - REYKJAVIK

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.

DAY 2: REYKJAVIK

Highlights:

Harpa, Parliament House, Hallgrimskirkja, Perlan, Hofdi House

Upon arrival, go on a city tour of Reykjavik and take in Harpa, an impressive concert hall, Parliament House and Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in Iceland and one of the key landmarks in the city with its exceptionally unique design. Stop by the futuristic glass-domed Perlan and historical Hofdi House. Transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3: REYKJAVIK - WEST ICELAND - BORGANES

Highlights:

Akranes Folk Museum, Hraunfossar, Barnafoss, Deildartunguhver

Today, travel northwest through the 5770-metre-long Hvalfjordur Tunnel towards Akranes. Visit Akranes Folk Museum and learn about Icelandic history and culture from the 4 museums here boasting an extensive collection of cultural, geological and maritime exhibits. Then, head to the photogenic Akranes lighthouses and make your way to the top for spectacular views of the rugged coastline. Next, proceed to Hraunfossar, a fascinating and unique natural spectacle of waterfalls flowing through lava rock, as well as Barnafoss, also known as Children’s Falls, to uncover the legend behind this natural beauty. Stop at the bubbling waters of Deildartunguhver, the powerful thermal spring with Europe’s highest flow rate of 180 litre per second. Later in the evening, begin your search for the elusive Aurora Borealis with a Northern Lights hunting jeep tour. Note Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and sighting is subject to weather conditions

DAY 4: BORGARNES - GOLDEN CIRCLE - SELFOSS

Highlights:

Golden Circle, Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Hveragerdi, Fridheimar Greenhouse, Icelandic Horse Stable

After breakfast, embark on an adventure through Golden Circle, southern Iceland’s most popular tourist route. Visit Thingvellir National Park, Iceland’s 1st national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then marvel at the geothermal hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur before visiting the magnificent 2-tiered waterfall Gullfoss. Continue on to the charming town of Hveragerdi, shrouded in a distinctive glow cast by its many greenhouses as darkness falls. Visit Fridheimar Greenhouse, reputed for producing the sweetest tomatoes in Iceland, before proceeding to an Icelandic horse stable for close-up encounters with these amiable creatures. Head to Selfoss for your overnight stay. If it is a clear night, you might be lucky to spot the Northern Lights dancing across the sky just outside your accommodation. DAY 5: SELFOSS - SOUTH COAST - JOKULSARLON

Highlights:

Seljalandsfoss, Skogafoss, Reynisdrangar

This morning, travel to Iceland’s South Coast. Be enthralled by the picturesque Seljalandsfoss as it plummets 200 feet into a deep plunge pool below. Next, pass by Eyjafjallajokull, an ice-capped volcano, before you stop by Skogar to visit the famous Skogafoss, regarded by many as the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland. Continue to the charming village of Vik and make a stop to view the basalt sea stalks of Reynisdrangar and Reynisfjara black sand beach. If you are feeling adventurous, opt for a thrilling optional glacier walk, at your own expense, guided by a certified glacier guide. This evening, head to Jokulsarlon region to spend the night. If it is a clear night, you might be lucky to spot the Northern Lights dancing across the sky just outside your accommodation. NoteThe optional glacier walk will only be conducted during appropriate weather conditions. Travellers who do not wish to opt for the glacier walk will spend time at leisure at Skogafoss at a nearby café. Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and sighting is subject to weather conditions.

DAY 6: JOKULSARLON - REYKJAVIK

Highlights:

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach

Start off the day exploring Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, a large glacial lake in southeastern Iceland. The lagoon is the lowest point in the country and filled with icebergs drifting towards the sea, often with seals lounging on top. Next, traverse the famous Diamond Beach, where you can spot large chunks of icebergs glistening on a black-sand beach. This evening, return to Reykjavik to spend the night.

DAY 7: REYKJAVIK - BLUE LAGOON - REYKJAVIK

Highlights:

Blue Lagoon

Today, head to Blue Lagoon. Here, you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip at the world-renowned Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, famous for its mineral-rich seawater and silica mud, before savouring a delightful lagoon drink. This evening, enjoy an interesting culinary experience with a Viking Dinner where traditional Icelandic meals will be served in an authentic Viking-style.

DAY 8: REYKJAVIK

This morning, spend the day at leisure. You may consider going on an optional Icelandic horseback-riding tour, at your own expense, in which you can enjoy a peaceful ride in the Icelandic countryside.

DAY 9: REYKJAVIK - SINGAPORE

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.

DAY 10: ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE
