ITINERARY

DAY 1 SINGAPORE - MADRID (Meals on Board)

Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Madrid, the capital and largest city of Spain!

DAY 2 MADRID (Chinese D)

This morning, our Madrid guide will show us the Cervantes Monument in Plaza Espana, Puerta del Sol, Gran Via and Madrid most famous fountain – the Cibeles Fountain. You will get to visit the magnificent State Apartment of the Royal Palace and marvel at its lavish scarlet and golden throne room.

DAY 3 MADRID - TOLEDO - MADRID (B / Tapas Dinner)

After breakfast, drive to Toledo, the former capital of medieval Spain. Our walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site includes a visit to the 13th century Gothic Cathedral where we will see EL Greco masterpieces at church of Santo Tome. Return to Madrid after lunch and visit Museo Torino, the ullfighting museum opened since 1931 that also features the bullring once held for bullfighting races. This afternoon, head on to Spain’s largest department store chain- El Corte Ingles which features a diversity of current selections for a wonderful shopping experience. Thereafter, enjoy a panoramic view of the city over the Tagus River and be treated to a Tapas Dinner tonight.

DAY 4 MADRID - SEGOVIA - AVILA - SALAMANCA (B / Suckling Pig Lunch /Chinese Dinner)

Today, we head on to Segovia for excellent photo opportunities of the 2000 years old Roman Aqueduct which runs through the city. Be treated to a very authentic lunch as we savour the famous succulent roast suckling pig lunch. A brief stop to view the Ancient Walls of St Teresa’s town of Avila and we continue to the golden city of Salamanca. See the handsome arcaded Plaza Mayor,Salamanca University and The Cathedral.

DAY 5 SALAMANCA - FATIMA - LISBON (B/Seafood D)

This morning, drive across the Portuguese border to reach Fatima, for a visit to the Shrine of Fatima, which commemorates the belief of miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary to three children in 1917.

Next, Photo stop at The Chapel Of Apparitions and Berlin Wall Monument and we leave the Serra d’Aire Mountains for Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

DAY 6 LISBON (B / Tea Break)

Together with our local guide, our Lisbon sightseeing brings you to the Monuments of Discoveries and the Belem Tower. Visit Jeronimo’s Monastery with its superbly ornate cloister, where Vasco Da Gama’s tomb is placed & don’t miss the Portugese traditional astry ‘Custard Tarts’.You may want to take an optional excursion to the little charming fishing village of Cascais, Sintra and the most western point of continental europe Cabo Da Roca.

DAY 7 LISBON - SEVILLE (Spain) (B / Hotel Buffet D)

Today we will cross the border back to Spain and continue to the capital of Andalusia region – Seville, site of the 1992 World Expo. Our guide will unfold the history of this city which was influenced by the Moors who dwelt in this area for 700 years during Seville sightseeing. Visit Plaza De Espana, one of the most beautiful building at Seville & continue to the 15th century gothic Cathedral, burial place of Christopher Columbus and the Giralda Tower, gem of Islamic art.

DAY 8 SEVILLE - GRANADA (B / Hotel Buffet D)

This morning we travel inland to Granada, capital of the Moorish Kingdom of Spain until the Moor’s defeat in 1942. Visit the Alhambra Palace and Water Garden Of Generalife. You may join an optional tour – Gibraltar & Mijas. Gibraltar is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Penisula at the entrance of the Mediterranean. Enjoy a Rock Tour visit to St Michael’s Cave and Apes Den. Mijas is a typically Andulasian white-washed village located at a mountain side about 450m above sea level,in the heart of the costa del sol region.

DAY 9 GRANADA - GUADIX - VALENCIA (B / Seafood Paella Dinner)

Drive over Mora Pass and enjoy the view of Sierra Nevada. The town of Guadix has very interesting feature as almost half of the inhabitants live in cave houses. Visit the Cave Museum immaculate, a cultural and educational visit in purullena located in one of the main sites of cave houses of Guadix region.

Continue travel to Valencia, the third largest city in Spain & photostop at the Tower Of Serrano and City of Arts and Sciences. Continue to famous landmark La Lonja de la Seda, a Gothicstyle building that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If time allows, experience the hustle and bustle of Mercado Central. This huge iron, glass and tiled Art Nouveau building opened in 1928 and is one of the largest and most attractive markets in Europe. Tonight , savour Spain Seafood Paella Dinner.

DAY 10 VALENCIA - PENISCOLA - BARCELONA (B)

This morning, drive along breathtaking countryside of Costa del Azahar with its white sandy beaches to bring us to the seaside town of Peniscola – known as ‘ The city of the Sea’ as the town sits on a rocky promontory which cuts out into the sea. Take an option excursion to the great Monastery Of Montserrat to see the Black Madonna and enjoy the breathtaking views. We will arrive Barcelona, one of the most vibrant and lively 2nd largest city in Spain this evening.

DAY 11 Good morning to Barcelona.

We begin our Barcelona sightseeing drive up to Montjuic Hill for a panoramic View of the city. Next, proceed to the Gothic Quarter and marvel at the middle age builidings that enhance the city’s uniqueness & tour the mordern Eixample District and visit Guadi famed Sagrada Familia Church.

In the afternoon, enjoy exploring Las Ramblas lively pedestrian promenade stretching from Plaza Catalonia to the harbour where Columbus Monument stands. Visit La Roca Village for the Chic Outlet Shopping, where you will find previous seasons’ collection from the world’s leading Spanish and international luxury fashion and lifestyle brands reduced by up to 60 percent all year round.

DAY 12 BARCELONA - SINGAPORE (B)

Bid farewell to Barcelona today, If time permits, you can do some last–minute shopping before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.

DAY 13 ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE
