ITINERARY

Day 1

SINGAPORE – ISTANBUL

Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Istanbul, the only city built on

two continents: Asia and Europe.

Day 2

ISTANBUL - BOLU (L/D)

Upon arrival at Ataturk Airport, we proceed on a sightseeing tour that takes

you to the premier sights of Istanbul. Visit the Hippodrome Square, which

was former center of sports and political activities of Constantinople the

Egyptian Obelisk and Constantine & Serpentine Columns. Next we visit the St

Sophia Museum initially a church turned to mosque museum, one of the great

architectural marvels of the ancient world. The Blue Mosque, which is also

known as Sultan Ahmet Mosque. It is one of the largest religious complexes in

Istanbul. Depart Istanbul and continue our journey to Bolu.

Day 3

BOLU - ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)

This morning, continue our journey to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Ankara

city highlights include the magnificent Ataturk Mausolem where art galleries

and fine restaurants are located. Next, we proceed on to Anatolian

Civilization Museum. After lunch, we head for the impeccable rock region of

Cappadocia, the highlight of a Turkiye tour. Enroute, photo stop at the second

largest lake in Turkiye - Salt Lake.

Day 4

CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)

After breakfast, a full day of sightseeing includes visiting the underground

city of Kaymakli where early Christian dwellings extends downwards into the

earth for at least 8 floors in a maze of tunnels and rooms. Next, explore the

rock-carved churches, some decorated with scratched frescos in the Goreme

open-air museum. Photo stops will be at Uchisar “castle” village, the

Goreme and Pigeon Valleys, a fantasy land of strange and wonderful works

of man and nature. Enroute, make a stop at a traditional handmade carpet

factory. After dinner this evening, relax and enjoy a delightful show featuring

Belly and folklore dance.

Day 5

CAPPADOCIA - KONYA - PAMUKKALE (B/L/D)

Travel to Konya, the famous old capital city of the Seljuk Turks in the 12th

and 13th century. Here, visit the blue-green domes of Mevlana Museum,

which used to be the cloister for Mevlevi Dervishes, the old Turkish order of

whirling dervishes whose basic ideology was tolerance and love. Continue

along the old Silk Road from Konya, stopping at Horozluhan, one of the best

preserved caravanserais (inns).

DAy 6

PAMUKKALE - KUSADASI (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit the extensive ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient

Roman city, well known for its thermal baths and health centers.

Thereafter, proceed on to the unique Cotton Castle. Continue to

Ephesus, an ancient Roman city and see the Grand Theater, the

Library of Celsius, and Marble Street etc. Next, visit the House of

the Virgin Mary where she is believed to have spenther last years

and a popular place of pilgrimage today.

DAy 7

KUSADASI - PERGAMON - CANAKKALE (B/L/D)

Proceed on to the ancient city of Pergamon to see The Acropolis

which includes Altar of Zeus, Temple of Athena, the library,

theatre and arsenals. Continue on to Homer’s Troy where we visit

the ruins of nine cities built on top of each other and an enormous

reconstruction of the famous wooden Trojan Horse. (* Two ways

cable car to Acropolis included.)

DAy 8

CANAKKALE - ISTANBUL (B/L/Chinese D)

After breakfast, enjoy a leisure ferry along the shores of Marmara

Sea and drive back to Istanbul. Continue our tour to the grand

Topkapi Palace to see the treasures, royal antiques, courtyards,

holy relics etc. If time permit, you will have the opportunity to go

shopping at the covered Grand Bazaar where stalls and shops

selling local products such as leather goods, jewelleries,

handicrafts, apple tea etc are situated at. (Note: Grand Bazaar is

closed on every Sunday, local / religiousholidays and festivals.)

DAy 9

ISTANBUL – SINGAPORE (B)

Enjoy your breakfast in hotel. Free at leisure until transfer to

airport for your flight back to Singapore with fond memories of a

wonderful holiday with Hong Thai Travel.

DAy 10

ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE

Arrive in Singapore. We hope that you have had an enjoyable
