ITINERARY
D1 SINGAPORE - TROMSO
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Tromsø – the capital of the Arctic. This city is surrounded by towering mountains and ranked among the best places on earth to observe these incredible northern lights in the sky.
D2 TROMSO
Upon arrival, begin the day with a Tromsø the capital of the Arctic , start our sightseeing tour to the outstanding whitewashed The Arctic Cathedral, which completed in completed in 1965 a landmark of the city. Thereafter, make a photo at the Roald Amundsen Statue a prominent polar explorer. He was a key figure of the period known as the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration
D3 TROMSO – LOFOTEN ISLANDS
After a hearty breakfast, depart for the Lofoten Islands which is situated just beneath the Aurora Oval - a belt that encircles the geomagnetic poles and provides some of the best chances of seeing the Northern Lights. With no light pollution and an open view to the north, you may be lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights.
D4 LOFOTEN ISLANDS
This morning, be prepared to be in awe of the dramatic landscape of colorful and charming Norway fishing villages set against snow-capped mountains. Begin our sightseeing at the southernmost traditional village at Å established since the 1840s before continuing to “the most beautiful place in the world” with red and white fisherman's huts dotting the shoreline at Reine. Continue to other villages in Lofoten Islands and arrive in nostalgic Henningsvaer which consists of several small islands connected by bridges like pearls on a string.
D5 LOFOTEN ISLANDS – SALMON FARM – KIRUNA
Today, start our unforgettable adventure boat (RIB – Rigid Inflatable Boat) tour to the Salmon Farm. This is an adventure center for Norwegian aquaculture, where you can get a unique into the production of Salmon in one of Norway’s most beautiful regions. Next, we cross the border to Sweden for an overnight stay. Note: If the Salmon Farm Tour is unavailable due to adverse weather conditions / closed / unforeseen circumstances, we will substitute other attractions or refund of the value.
D6 KIRUNA – LAPLAND
This morning, continue for an Ice Hotel Tour to see the famous hotel and an art exhibition made office and snow from the frozen Torne River, painstakingly sculpted by builders and artists. Do not forget to check out the ice bar and sip on a champagne or a delicious cocktail served in glasses made of ice. This afternoon cross over from Sweden into Finland – the happiest country in the world and arrive in Europe’s last untamed wilderness, Lapland. Tonight, we will be staying in the renowned Glass Igloo to experience the unique opportunity to sleep under the Lovely Lapp Sky whilst admiring the World’s Most Amazing Natural Phenomenon - Aurora Borealis (also called the Nordic Light) in the comfort of a heated accommodation.Note: Igloos are subject to availability. Please be aware that the Igloo stay may be moved to the other night if this initial night is unavailable. It could also be relocated to a different location without prior notice in case of unavailability.
D7 LAPLAND – ROVANIEMI – HELSINKI
After breakfast, journey to Rovaniemi – official hometown of Santa Claus on the Arctic Circle in Lapland Finland where culture, wild activities and fairy tales await. Visit Santa Claus Village for a fun-filled Christmas Experience as you cuddle in the arms of the ever-so-heartwarming Santa. Continue to Santa Post Office and mail out a special postcard to your loved ones with a special Arctic Circle stamp on them and be awarded with an Arctic Circle Crossing Certificate. Afterwards, proceed to the Husky Dog Farm where we visit our warm friendly friends and learn more about the life of these Arctic dogs. Our friendly guide will educate us about their training routine, lifestyle and habits as we prepare to hop on the Husky’s Sledge Dog Ride for an exhilarating experience in the snow. In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable Reindeer Sleigh Ride - the oldest local transport in Lapland. Tonight, have an early dinner and bid adieu to Lapland this evening as we experience Finnish Comfort Overnight Train known as the Santa Claus Express. (2-Bed Cabin) from Rovaniemi to Helsinki. Note: If the Husky's Sledge Dog Ride is unavailable due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, we will refund Euro €45 per person.
D8 HELSINKI
Arrive in Helsinki, capital of Finland and enjoy the day free at leisure. You may wish to considern joining an optional to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
D9 HELSINKI - SINGAPORE
This morning, embark on a Helsinki orientation tour to the Senate Square, Market Square, the Sibelius Monument and the world famous Church in the Rock. Temppeliaukio Church, also known as the Rock Church, is a famous Lutheran church located in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. It is renowned for being carved directly into solid rock, which gives it a unique and striking appearance. The church was designed by architects Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen and was completed in 1969. Next, you will transferred to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
D10 ARRIVE IN SINGAPORE
Arrive home in Singapore with a sweet and memorable holiday with us at ASA Holidays. Note : A deposit SGD $2000 per person is required upon booking.
