ITINERARY
DAY 1 – CHECK IN AT SINGAPORE CHANGI AIRPORT
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport and fly to the Land of the Pharaohs – Egypt.
DAY 2 – SINGAPORE ✈ CAIRO – HURGHADA
On arrival, meet and greet by local representative. Begin tour with a drive along Corniche El-Nil, the promenade by the River Nile, where Egyptian history began. Be enchanted by the splendid treasures recovered from the tomb of Tutankhamun at the famous Egyptian Museum. Thereafter, journey to Hurghada, a beach resort by the Red Sea.

DAY 3 – HURGHADA
After breakfast, enjoy a Glass Bottom Boat Tour out into the Red Sea and admire the colourful fishes. Thereafter, drive pass to Hurghada Marina Boulevard and walk along Marina Bay harbor with its colourful buildings to enjoy the harbour sunset views.

DAY 4 – HURGHADA – LUXOR
This morning, continue to Luxor. Enjoy 4 nights stay on the floating hotel cruising down the Nile River, seeing and exploring the life by its banks. Enter the famous Luxor Temple, an elegant example of Pharaonic temple architecture which provides an introduction to ancient Egypt. Be amazed by the thirteenth century Abu El-Haggag Mosque which is still standing high on the layers of silt accumulated over the years. Thereafter, stop at the massive Temple of Amun, the Karnak Temple with its vast Hypostyle Hall and the Avenue of Sphinxes. See the tallest completed Egyptian Obelisk. DAY 5 – LUXOR – ESNA – EDFU
After breakfast, stopover at the west bank of the Nile and enter the Valley of the Kings –the burial site for many of the New Kingdom Pharaohs. Feast your eyes on the amazing Queen Hatshepsut Temple against its stark mountainous backdrop. Take in the wonder and splendour of the Colossi of Memnon (two gigantic sitting statues of the Pharaohs) at the Amon-Ofi III Temple. Visit an Alabaster Factory where you will see Egyptian crafts made from marble. In the evening, enjoy an Egyptian dinner and a Belly Dancing Show. Continue cruising south to Edna and Edfu. DAY 6 – EDFU – KOM OMBO – ASWAN
After breakfast, hitch a ride on the Egyptian Horse Carriage going through the old dusty street where you’ll see people living in poverty before arriving at the Temple of Horus (Falcon God). Continue to the Kom Ombo Temple, also known as the Temple of Sobek (Crocodile God). Visit the Crocodile Museum to see the crocodile mummies. In the evening, celebrate in true Egyptian style at a Galabeya Party and Dinner. Hotel: 5* Deluxe Cruise Liner.

DAY 7 – ASWAN
After breakfast, enjoy about 1 hour cruise on a traditional ‘felucca’ (wind boat) on the Nile. Enjoy the Nubians singing local folk songs. Simultaneously, you would be seeing Elephantine Island, Kitchener Island, Agha Khan Mausoleum and Aswan Botanical Garden. Free at leisure in the afternoon. DAY 8 – ASWAN – CAIRO
After breakfast, disembark from the cruise liner. Embark on a motorboat to an island in the Nile and visit a Nubian Restaurant for an authentic lunch. Continue to visit Aswan High Dam to see scenic Lake Nasser. Hitch a ride on a motorboat across the Nile to Philae Island. Visit the Temple of Isis which rises from the waters of the Nile. Visit a papyrus showroom to learn how beautiful Egyptian papyrus drawings are handmade.Transfer to airport and take domestic flight to Cairo.Recommended Optional Excursion: Nubian Village & Culture.

DAY 9 – CAIRO
An exciting day awaits you at Cairo. Admire the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara. Ride on a camel to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza. See their guardian, the Sphinx (lion with human head). Continue to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can put your bargaining skills to the test. Then proceed to an Egyptian Perfumery and learn how perfume is made in Egyptian-style.

DAY 10 – CAIRO
After breakfast, explore the Coptic Cairo. Visit the famous Hanging Church (Suspended Church) which was built on top of the water gate of the old Roman fortress of Babylon. Thereafter, continue to the oldest Church of St Sergius where it is believed that the Holy Family was sheltered in a cave below the altar. Walk through the narrow streets before arriving at the oldest Ben Ezra Synagogue, a testament to the ancient and significant presence of Jews in this region. Visit The Mosque of Muhammad Ali which dominates medieval Citadel and was built on the summit of the citadel, the highest point in Cairo. At its lookout, enjoy a bird’s eye view of the entire city including the Great Pyramids on clear days (subject to weather conditions).

DAY 11 – CAIRO ✈ SINGAPORE

VISA
Immigration procedures require all tourists to possess a passport with minimum 6 months validity from the day of departure. Singapore passport holders do require a visa to Egypt. For foreign passport, please ensure relevant visa is applied should you need one. It is necessary to bring along re-entry permit or air ticket to country of origin for passenger not holding Singapore passport. It is advisable to keep separately a photocopy of your travel document.
