ITINERARY

DAY 01 SINGAPORE – MADRID

Assemble at Singapore Changi International Airport for your flight to Madrid.

DAY 02 MADRID

Welcome to Madrid. Madrid, Spain’s central capital, is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. It is renowned for its rich repositories of European art. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and retire for the
day.

DAY 03 MADRID – BURGOS – LEON

Continue to Burgos, Castile’s historic capital founded as an outpost of the expanding Christian frontier. Meet our local guide for a sightseeing tour of the city’s medieval center, with a stop at the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Next, we embark on our journey down to Leon.

DAY 04 LEON – SANTIAGO COMPOSTELA

(Hot buffet breakfast / Pulpo a la Gallega Dinner) After breakfast, Visit the Gothic cathedral which is the city’s main attraction. Make the most of your visit to the Pulchra Leonina, also known as the León Cathedral before we depart for Santiago
Compostella. Pass the impressive Castillo de la Mota as you travel through the Guadarrama Mountains to the infinite horizons of Old Castile.

DAY 05 S. COMPOSTELA

This morning, be joined by our guide as they shares insights into the “Way of Saint James” and explains why thousands of people attempt the life-changing pilgrimage each year. Visit the vast Cathedral, which is said to be Saint James the Great’s final resting place, and the Praza do Obradoiro, a square dominated by four architectural styles. Thereafter, free at own leisure. Consider an optional excursion to the Ras Baixas for breathtaking views of the Galician coast. Long waterways that stretch inland are said to be the mark left by God’s hand after he
cleansed himself after creating the world.

DAY 06 S. COMPOSTELA – TOWER OF HERCULES (UNESCO) – OVIEDO

Today’s journey will take us to The Tower of Hercules. It has served as a lighthouse and landmark at the entrance of La Coruña harbour in north-western Spain since the late 1st century A.D. when the Romans built the Farum Brigantium. The site also features a sculpture park, the Monte dos Bicos rock carvings from the Iron Age. The Roman foundations of the building were revealed in excavations conducted in the 1990s. Many legends from the Middle Ages to the 19th century
surround the Tower of Hercules, which is unique as it is the only lighthouse of Greco-Roman antiquity to have retained a measure of structural integrity
and functional continuity. Thereafter, continue to Oviedo, where our guide will show you the 9th century churches that were built when the city was
the capital of Christian Spain. Visit the Cathedral of the Holy Saviour in the stately Plaza Alfonso II. Admire the magnificent altarpiece, one of the finest in Europe.

DAY 07 OVIEDO – BILBAO

Travel to Bilbao, the capital of the Basque Country, is home to centuries-old alleyways and modernday architecture. The bustling city is small enough that you can explore it on foot, but big enough to keep you entertained for many hours. One place you simply have to visit is the world-famous Guggenheim Museum, set by the Nervión River.

DAY 08 BILBAO – LOURDES – PAU

A leisurely start to our day sees us journey west to Lourdes, the global centre of the Marian pilgrimage. You’ll learn about St. Bernadette of Lourdes, who saw the Marian apparitions of the Immaculate Conception and was canonized in 1933, becoming the patron saint of bodily illness. Our guide will accompany you on a visit to St. Bernadette’s Grotto, her birthplace, and you’ll learn how millions of pilgrims come to this holy place to pray and drink its miraculous water, following
our Lady of Lourdes’ instruction to ‘drink at the spring.’ As you explore the Domain and reflect on the miracles that have occurred since the Virgin Mary’s apparition here, you will sense the spiritual significance of this sacred place before we proceed to Pau for overnight stay.

DAY 09 PAU – BORDEAUX

This morning, journeying through Les Landes as we arrive in the wine capital of Bordeaux, whose stunning Garonne riverfront and Age of Enlightenment history and architecture have made it one of France’s most visited cities. Bordeaux
wine has been produced in the region since the 8th century and the biannual wine fair attracts buyers from all over the world. We will be visiting one of the vineyard and experience their wine before we spend some time seeing the sights during your orientation of the city.

DAY 10 BORDEAUX – SAINTES -NANTES

(Breakfast / Dinner)
After breakfast, we shall leave Bordeaux as we continue to Nantes. Along the way, we will stop by Saintes, where we can see some of the ruins of former Roman period. Upon arriving at Nantes, we can see the Loire estuary, the longest river in France and last wild river in Europe. Visit the Château des ducs de Bretagne (Castle of the Dukes of Brittany). Set in the historic heart of Nantes, the Château
des ducs de Bretagne is the city’s most important historic building, along with the Cathedral St. Pierre. When looking at it from the city, it is a fortress with 500 metres of curtain walls punctuated by seven towers, all linked by a sentry walkway. Thereafter, continue to Nantes for our overnight stay.

DAY 11 NANTES – MONT ST MICHEL CAEN

Today, we shall visit one of the highlight of this itinerary, Mont Saint Michel. Set in the mesmerising bay where Normandy and Brittany merge, the island draws the eye from great distances. Enjoy the magnificent view of Mont Saint Michel before
we move on to Caen.

DAY 12 CAEN – ROUEN – PARIS

(Hot buffet breakfast)
After breakfast, we shall continue our journey to the inspiration of the fashion world Paris via Rouen. view the magnificent Saint-Ouen Abbey Church, Place du Vieux Marché to snap some shots of Joan of Arc and walk along the streets to the
Parliament of Normandy and see The Gros-Horloge astronomical clock as well as the majestic NotreDame Cathedral. Thereafter, continue to Paris. In the mid 19th century, Baron Haussmann transformed much of medieval Paris into a modern city; See all the main sights in Paris today that will cover the glorious Arc De Triomphe that was erected in 1806 as a memorial to his victorious army. Next, we
proceed to one of the largest squares in the world– Place de La Concorde. We then drive down the bustling Champs Elysees. Our greatest highlight
for the day is the famous Eiffel Tower! Take a lift up to the 2nd level for a charming panorama of Paris. Continue to the grand Notre Dame and pass
by the Louvre Museum and its glittering Glass Pyramid. Thereafter, enjoy your time at the biggest departmental in Paris – Galleries La Fayette.
(Eiffel tower will be replaced by Montparnasse Tower without any prior notice when met into unforeseen circumstances). No disputes will be entertain.

DAY 13 PARIS

Today, free at your own leisure. You may want take up a self expense tour to explore more in depth of Paris. For the shopaholics, you may just want to
shop till you drop at Galleries Lafeyette. At night, you may want to consider enjoying a cabaret show.

DAY 14 PARIS – SINGAPORE

Free at leisure till transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home to Singapore.

DAY 15 ARRIVE SINGAPORE
