Day 01 SINGAPORE Q AUCKLAND

Begin your vacation with a pleasant flight to Auckland, the City of Sails.

Day 02 AUCKLAND b ROTORUA “Haere Mai”

Welcome to New Zealand! Meet and greet your coach captain upon your arrival and travel south to the market garden area of Pukekohe. Continue through the fertile Waikato region to the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua, known for its bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers, natural hot springs, and fascinating Māori culture. If time permits, you may opt to soak away your fatigue at the mineral pools of Polynesian Spa (at your own expense).

Day 03 ROTORUA

Climb aboard the all-weather, all-terrain vehicle at the Agrodome Farm Tour to spot some rare breeds of sheep plus take the chance to hand-feed and take photos with friendly animals. Journey to Matamata for a fully guided tour of the enchanting village at the Hobbiton Movie Set. View Hobbit Holes, the Mill, Green Dragon Inn and savour a Marquee Buffet Lunch on this middle-earth adventure. Return to Rotorua for a drive-through city orientation tour to view the Government Gardens, the iconic Bath House Building and Rotorua Museum. Be captivated by a rich powerful entertaining cultural concert complete with fiery “Haka” Maori war dance and an authentic Hangi
Dinner at the Mitai Village Cultural Evening Experience.

Day 04 ROTORUA b WAITOMO b AUCKLAND

Journey through forested Mamaku Ranges to Waitomo Glowworm Caves, renowned as one of New Zealand’s best natural attractions. Through storytelling, your guide will explain the history, features and legends of this world-famous cave as your boat glides silently through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. Travel back to Auckland and discover some of the scenic highlights of the city, such as Auckland Harbour Bridge, the Viaduct Harbour and the revitalised Silo Park waterfront precinct. If time permits, we will drive along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive and vibrant Mission Bay before we make a stop at Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park.

Day 05 AUCKLAND Q CHRISTCHURCH b KAIKOURA

Take a domestic flight to the “Garden City” of Christchurch. Explore the exciting new Riverside Market, consisting of an indoor market linked to a vibrant mix of boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Then, travel through North Canterbury before turning towards the coast and arriving at Kaikoura, a town steeped in Maori history and legend.

Day 06 KAIKOURA b CHRISTCHURCH b LAKE TEKAPO

Around 80% of the world’s whale and dolphin species migrate past the Kaikoura coastline. Go on board a modern catamaran equipped with a large outdoor deck on the Whale Watch Tour where you may get to locate and view the Giant Sperm Whale or other whale species, dolphins and seals in their natural environment. Then, journey across Canterbury Plains to the turquoisecoloured Lake Tekapo. See the postcard perfect Church of the Good Shepherd and iconic Sheepdog statue on the edge of the lake.

Day 07 LAKE TEKAPO b CROMWELL b QUEENSTOWN

Stop for photos at the scenic Lake Pukaki Lookout Point for panoramic views of Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain soaring 3724-metres above the crest of the Southern Alps. If weather permits, why not experience the magnificent alpine landscape from above on a scenic helicopter ride (at your own expense). En route, stop at High Country Salmon Farm before we continue through MacKenzie Basin to Cromwell. Visit Mrs. Jones Fruit Orchard, the best-known fruit stall in Central Otago that stocks a huge array of produce. Then, view the famous Kawarau Bridge Gorge Suspension Bridge, the world’s first commercial bungy jumping site and end the day at Queenstown, a city famous for its iconic scenery and smorgasbord of outdoor activities.

Day 08 QUEENSTOWN

The day is free at your own leisure, or you may opt to visit the spectacular natural wonders of Milford Sound (at your own expense).

Day 09 QUEENSTOWN b ARROWTOWN b GLACIER REGION (FOX & FRANZ JOSEF)

Proceed to picturesque Arrowtown, a charming gold rush village of historic miners’ houses shaded by tremendous oak trees nestled below magnificent peaks. Journey through scenic Lakes Wanaka and Lake Hawea, the wilderness towns of Makarora and take on the dramatic twists and turns of the Haast Pass. Enjoy the scenery of waterfalls and rivers as you travel through the lush heritage areas. Arrive at Glacier Region of Fox & Franz Josef and be awed by the magnificent wilderness remnants from the ice age era.

Day 10 GLACIER REGION (FOX & FRANZ JOSEF) b HOKITIKA b ARTHUR’S PASS b CHRISTCHURCH

Hokitika is known as the Cool Little Town with lovely old buildings and the famous Arahura River which is a traditional source of pounamu (greenstone). Observe how greenstone is carefully handcrafted into beautiful collections. Stop at Arthur’s Pass, New Zealand’s highest alpine pass to view the spectacular river gorges with stunning snow-covered peaks of the Southern Alps. You may want to enhance the experience with a scenic train ride on the TranzAlpine (at your own expense). Return to Christchurch this evening where you may take the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping.

Day 11 CHRISTCHURCH Q SINGAPORE

Bid farewell to New Zealand with our departure transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore. We hope that you have had a memorable and enjoyable time with SA Tours.
